Distance 8.8 km
From the Melchsee-Frutt cableway terminus, the path leads towards Tannalp. After walking past idyllic Frutt to the Panorama Lift, you continue along frozen Lake Melch. At the end of the lake, the cross-country ski circuit branches off to the left. Shortly afterwards, before the small bridge, the winter paths separate. Here you take the newly laid direct path uphill. It crosses under the Distelboden - Bonistock aerial cableway and leads parallel to the rocks to the Tannen dam. There the paths meet again. The last stretch passes frozen Lake Tannen and then downhill to Tannalp, which lies in a sheltered hollow.
The Berggasthaus Tannalp is where you turn back - and where you could pause for a rest. Finally, you return to Melchsee-Frutt along the same path, maybe along the loop from the Tannen dam via Distelboden to Frutt.
