Stuibenfall via ferrata
Just south of Umhausen in the Ötztal valley lies another of the many via ferrata routes in the Ötztal valley. A well-secured iron path winds its way up the stepped rocky outcrops between dense coniferous trees and the scintillating spray of the thundering Stuibenfall. The well-maintained path is relatively easy to walk on, despite three overhanging passages, as many tread pins and metal clips have been hammered into the stone, which is often wet from the water of the Horlachbach stream. Most of the difficulty level is in the A and B range, the above sections are more like C, but can still be done by children. Shortly before the exit, via ferrata hikers attract the attention of curious hikers when crossing the airy rope bridge. The Stuibenfall via ferrata is a real highlight in the Ötztal and highly recommended.
