Die Skitour auf den Sipplingerkopf ist bekannt und beliebt wegen ihrer perfekten sonnigen Skihänge.

In dem Gebiet mit dem Nagelfluh, einem Konglomeratgestein, sehen die Gipfel bisweilen schroff und bizarr aus, so ist auch der Sipplingerkopf, der markanteste Gipfel zwischen dem Gunzesrieder Tal und dem Balderschwanger Tal. Der Südanstieg bietet eine interessante Route mit sanften Mulden zwischen den Steilstufen und den markanten Felszacken. Überwiegend südlich orientiert eignet sich die Tour vor allem für frischen Pulverschnee und Firnverhältnisse.
