This bike trail offers you the possibility to travel along the Romanian Danube side from Manastirea to Calarasi in a 47km daytrip.
The route is on 100% asphalt road, on national road DN31. It was also based on EuroVelo 6 route in Romania (not Euro Velo omologated; just the same route), so you can easy link your cycle touristic trip from Atlantic to Black Sea.
This is a bike trail realised in a local project, accesed by Administrative Unity of Calarasi - "Promoting the natural heritage in Calarasi Danube area through ecotourism", financed by POP 2007-2013. Almost 200km of cycle touristic bike trails (2 road trails + 2 MTB trails + 1 aquatic trail, on Danube) were created.
