Die rassige Gratüberschreitung auf dem leichten Klettersteig Hohe Gänge ist eine der schönsten Touren im Allgäu und dennoch nicht überlaufen.

Bei dieser Tour zur Rotspitze muss man selber aufsteigen und kommt nicht in den Genuss einer Bergbahn wie beim benachbarten Hindelanger Klettersteig. Es gibt auch keine Hütte, in der man übernachten oder vielleicht einkehren könnte. Man muss sich also auch noch selber um die Verpflegung kümmern. Und gerade deshalb ist es hier etwas ruhiger und besonders schön. Der Klettersteig hat die Schwierigkeit B und ist nicht durchgehend seilversichert. Die vorhandenen Sicherungen sind neu und top in Schuss. Dazwischen gibt es ausgesetzte Wege auf dem schmalen Grat, super Ausblicke und drei Gipfel in einer Reihe. Bald nach dem Beginn passieren wir das Kutschenmuseum, für dessen Besichtigung man unbedigt eine Viertelstunde mit einplanen sollte – denn es geht dabei nicht nur um Kutschen.

A pretty solid all-around trip. I'd hoped the more challenging stretch would be longer, but we ended up rattling through it rather quickly. That being said, there are still some great views and a variety of different things to experience as a whole, making the route a good taster for what more the mountains here can offer.
