Saar-Hunsrück Climb - 7th leg: Grimburgerhof – Reinsfeld
After two exhausting stages, relaxation is on the agenda today. The stage starts with an impressive highlight, the Grimburg, a large, partially reconstructed castle that lies on a ridge above the Wadrill valley. From the valley at Grimburgerhof, a path always slowly ascends to the castle.
A must is the ascent of the castle tower, which allows a wonderful view of the area around the Wadrill valley. The next few kilometers are pure relaxation. The path leads through the lonely and quiet valley of the Wadrill. It changes sides several times and offers varied views of the original brook landscape of the Wadrill.
The meadow landscape in which the stream is embedded is under nature protection. At the Frau Holle rock formation, we leave the trail for today and walk over a path to the stage location Reinsfeld.

The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig is a nature trail, 65% of which is over soft forest floor, over grass paths or along streams. This special quality can make parts of the path more difficult to walk after long periods of rain. Therefore, sturdy shoes are strongly recommended.Tips and hints
