You will ARRIVE at the ferry dock in Hallstatt, return to the Hallstatt train station.
From the train station, BEAR LEFT at the fork in the road. CONTINUE along the riverside path, keeping the Lake to your right. walk parallel to the train tracks.
At the end of the lake, the path takes you close to the tracks. CROSS the train tracks at the second crossing and TURN LEFT on to the street “Untersee”.
Follow the road through a residential area until you come to a T-junction. TURN RIGHT and shortly after TURN LEFT. Following the street, CROSS the tracks twice in quick succession.
At the next junction, BEAR RIGHT until you come to a larger street. CROSS the street and CONTINUE STRAIGHT through a residential area. The road (Au) ends and a small dirt road follows on from it. Follow the dirt road until you meet the train tracks again. When you come to an asphalted street again, CROSS the train tracks to the left.
Shortly afterwards, BEAR RIGHT on another dirt road, which leads to a street near a group of houses. Stay parallel to the train tracks as the path merges with a street.
At the bridge over the Traun river, TURN RIGHT, CROSS over the train tracks and shortly afterwards to the TURN LEFT. Follow the street (Pass Gschütt Straße, No. 166) on the pavment to the next intersection.
At the intersection, TURN LEFT on to Wirtswiesenstrasse / Obere Marktstrasse and follow this road to the market square of Bad Goisern, where you will have finished today's walk.

Equipment
We recommend that you wear well-worn hiking shoes with a good profile. In addition, a waterproof rain jacket and rain pants in bad weather and sunscreen and a sun hat in good weather.
Always take enough water with you (at least 1 litre). Hiking poles can take the strain off your knees when hiking
