A long but easy hike from Segna via Peglio and Liva to Grotta Dangri. Partly beautiful narrow hiking trails but also wide gravel and asphalt paths. Great views and landscapes. A refreshment stop in Grotto Dangri.

The tour offers (especially at the beginning) very nice views and a great hiking trail. But there are also some asphalt and gravel paths included which are not so nice. The landscape and mountains around Grotto Dangri are absolutely worth seeing - you can also stop for a bite to eat in a small restaurant.

Author’s recommendation

At the church in Peglio (just outside the village), you can take a break and enjoy the view. In Grotto Dangri, have a coffee or a snack.

Turn-by-turn directions

The best way to get to Segna is by car - the road to Segna is quite narrow and very bendy. From the parking space in Segna, go back a few meters and take the path on the right, between the houses uphill to a small and beautiful hiking trail. It leads to Peglio and its ancient church, where you have an amazing view – the ideal time for a short break. From Peglio, follow the road to Livo and continue towards Dangri. From Livo to Grotto Dangri, there is a wide asphalt and gravel road, which is also popular among cyclists. Shortly after Grotto Dangri, the path leads over a bridge uphill into the forest. This small path isn’t very easy to find. Follow the route that continues uphill until it ends at a house and turns into a gravel road. Follow this road downhill (later it turns into an asphalted road) to Livo. From there, the route leads you back on smaller trails to Segna.
