From Gunzesried to the top of the Stuiben

The circular route takes you through the picturesque Gunzesried valley with green meadows and forests to the top of the Stuiben and back again. From the peak at 1749 m you can enjoy the impressive view of the peaks of the nature park Nagelfluhkette and the main ridge of the Allgaeu Alps. We hike across the Stuiben ridge and a part of the long distance trails E4 and E5 as well as the Nagelfluh crossing from the Mittag to the Hochgrat. At the end of the tour, you should stop at the alpine pasture "Sennalpe Gerstenbrändle" in the Gunzesried valley. It is near our starting point in Gunzesried-Säge. The hiking trail up to the Stuiben is steep but does not require specific technical requirements. The last part up to the peak is a short and tightrope secured climbing passage. In case of snow or rain, the tour requires mountain experience.
