One-day hike in Montenegro's newest national park, Prokletije National Park. Three high, rugged peaks right on the border with Albania, prehistoric petroglyphs, indescribably beautiful mountain landscapes are just a few of the reasons why tourists from all over the world are 'getting lost' in this remote corner of the country and on this beautiful hiking trail.

The Prokletije massif is the highest mountain of the Dinaric Alps. On Montenegrin territory there are only the smaller part of this on the one hand wildly romantic, on the other hand repellent mountain world that stretches from the east of Montenegro along the Albanian border to Serbia and Kosovo. Rugged, steep and almost invincible pinnacles characterize his peaks. Old paths and adventurous mountain routes lead through the youngest national park, one of the least known corners of Europe. The highest mountains to be climbed from Montenegro are the Maja Rosit and the Maja Kolata.
Author’s recommendation
There are several simple overnight accommodations in the mountain hut "Karanfil", the mountain hut "Branko Kotlajić" and in the ethno village "Pavićević".
Regarding particular protection of this area in the National Park, all visitors must strictly comply with rules of conduct.
