Transalpina Ski Resort is the newest and most modern ski area in Romania, whose work started in September 2011. The domain, which descends to Lake Vidra, offers an impressive skiing surface in a fairy landscape and seven slopes for beginners and advanced ski lifts and cable cars.

From Bucharest take A1 to Bascov, from here on DN7 / E81 to Brezoi, then to the left, on DN7A to near the end of Lake Vidra.

From Timisoara on A1 to Simeria, from here on E79 to Petroșani, then on DN7A to the destination, after Obârșia Lotrului.
