Bears' Cave
One of the main tourist attractions of the Apuseni Mountains, the Cave is distinguished by the diversity of existing stalactites and stalagmites, as well as by the impressive amount of traces and fossils of the cavern bear that disappeared 15,000 years ago.
The Bears Cave was discovered in 1975 on the occasion of a demolition performed on the marble quarry in the area.
With a length of more than 1,500 m, the cave consists of two-level galleries: the first gallery, the upper one, 488 meters long, can be visited by the tourists and the second, 521 m long, is reserved for scientific research.
The top gallery, available to visitors, consists of 3 galleries and different halls:
- The Bears Gallery (or Bones Gallery),
- "Emil Racoviță" Gallery,
- The Candle Gallery,
- Candle Hall,
- Spaghetti Hall,

The temperature in the cave is constant throughout the year (10 ° C), and the humidity is maintained at 97%.
