Coronavirus COVID-19 prevention measures in Romania

Although Romania is one of the countries least affected by Covid-19, nationwide travel restrictions are in place to prevent the spread of the virus. Local health authorities are closely monitoring the situation and infected citizens are in quarantine.

For the time you stay at home, we did prepare for you a guide to Dream Now so you can travel later safe.


  • Hotels, museums, cultural sites and tourist attractions are open.
  • Grocery stores, pharmacies, shops, do-it-yourself stores, garden centers and hair salons and shopping malls are open as well.
  • Restaurants that offer take-out food (walk-through or drive-through) are open.
  • Restaurants and cafes that can offer open-air table service (have terraces) are scheduled to re-open on June 1, 2020.
  • Cultural and sporting events have been canceled for the time being.
  • The population is encouraged to limit unnecessary travel.
  • Social gatherings of more than eight people are discouraged and,physical distancing (5-feet) is the key word for all behavior.
  • All people are required to wear a mask while in (indoor) public spaces.
  • The reccomendations above are in place until June 15, 2020.
