Discover the region
The region of Crisana is located in the North West part of the country, and its name comes from the three rivers that cross it: The White Crișul, the Black Crișul and the Fast Crișul. Crișana is also the gateway to the country, from Western Europe and a walk along all this region can only be relaxing and welcoming because you will discover cities like Oradea or Arad that have a special architectural style such as the art nouveau style or baroque that are reflected in old buildings, in museums and beyond.
Not very far from Oradea you can relax in spa resorts and then start with another journey to Apuseni Mountains, they are crossing the region to the east and totally catch any travelers attention who passes through the area full of caves, glaciers and waterfalls of this beautiful mountain landscape. This region is worth visiting in order not to lose sight of the beauty and uniqueness of Romania, which, through each region individually but still all together form a wonderful and complete beautiful landscape story.
The biggest cities of the region are Arad and Oradea, both still with a flair of the k.u.k. Monarchy. Many cultural and natural monuments are hidden in the eastern Apuseni Mountains, in addition to the traditional wooden churches there are unique caves, gorges and plateaus.
