Weingut Simon Gattinger
Weingut Simon Gattinger is a family-run winery in Loiben on the left bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau with beautiful terraced vineyards.
Viticulture has always been a passion of the Gattinger family. Simon's great-grandfather Anton put his heart and soul into producing his own wine and was a leading member in the founding of the "Dinstl-Gut" wine association back in 1930. This business was carried on by Simon's grandfather, Leopold, and then by Simon's father Leo. For 20 years, the grapes were sold to well-known winemakers in the surrounding area until 2017, when Simon decided to press his own wines and winemaking resumed at the winery. Simon feels lucky to have direct access to the knowledge and experience of his parents, who have always actively supported him.
