In 1727, the brewery was the first company in Banat to be privatized to Philip Bauer. With the rise of Timișoara to the royal free city in 1779, the administration of the Timișoreana brewery passed from the imperial administration to the city administration.
Under the communist government, the company was nationalized from 1948 to 1995. Timișoreana is now managed as a beer brand within the Ursus group, which in turn is part of the second largest beer group in the world SABMiller since 2002 .
A special feature was the delivery of beer by freight tram (from 1916 to 1975).
