Even more than before, Romania remains an insider tip. Right next to western looking and living cities, the traveller finds villages like in a picture book, farmers on horse-drawn carts, wooded Carpathian heights, impressive church castles and painted monasteries as well as countryman almost from another time which are however very hospitable and helpful.
